Bathroom exhaust fan recorded with a roland r-26.

I've created this sound for my project by layering a lot of sounds together, since i couldn't find it here. Feel free to use it :). Comments and ratings welcome :).

Weird wind sound.

A fountain bubbling up through stacked rocks with an exhaust fan blowing in the backgroundrecorded with iphone 12.

This is the hum of an old freezer running. The microphone (galaxy s9) was placed inside and the door shut.

A fan blowing, set to the highest setting. There's a strong low end presence, interestingly. The recording was made from behind the fan so the air wouldn't blow into the mic directly. Recorded with a zoom h1.

An ambient, white noise wall of sound recorded as i walked through our well ventilated university print shop. You can hear a variety of machine noises that layer to create a constant hum, with a swelling rise and fall like occasional waves. Some of the vents whistle, some tick or click and purr. Near the very end, there is a single sharp click. The ventilation system is an anti-fume tube series used for printmaking. Recorded on a microtrack ii. General information: recorded indoors on handheld microtrack while walking from room to room. No noticeable footstep sounds. No voices. Room has high ceilings and cement floors.

The roar of a industrial rooftop ventilator coming to life (starts at 00:10). It is a large and scary whirring, mechanical, grinding sound. Used in episode 10, "decoherence" of the genius-podcast audio drama, and used to be the sound of the thames flood gate being deployed.

This is a recording of michigan avenue in chicago from an interior perspective made from the 24th floor facing west. The microphones were spaced apart and placed very close to the window. Interior ventilation/air conditioning rumble is audible. This could be a useful sound for a downtown city office background. Time of recording was 3:05pm. My bathroom fan is humming while operating. As you might hear, the fan is full of dust and dirt, so it does this "unround" noisy humming. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. Ambient sound akin to the bridge of a starship. Muted background hum with an overtone of air conditioning ducts. Pseudo-random high pitched blips occupy the soundstage. Could be used as an ambient sound loop for hi-tech / science fiction interiors such as a laboratory, a control room, or the bridge of a spacecraft. Created with two instances of flstudio 3x osc. One kicking out a pair of sinewaves plus noise for the background susurus (hum) and ventilation sound. Second 3x osc is set to produce two interfereing square waves for the blips, squeaks and buzzes. The background was notch filtered and bandpassed to mellow out the humming sound and reduce hiss. The blips were processed with flstudio equo, stereo enhance, fruity delay2 and fl pan-o-matic vst. Each blip was pasted by hand in a seemingly random but not too unpleasant pattern.
